There are times when the mind feels totally lost.
What do I want?
Who do I want?
Do I want anything at all? And Why do I want a Particular Thing Right Now (PTTN)? More importantly WHO made me choose a PTTN? Because that’s how it seems to be determined by and it’s actually quite scary. Amusing at times it is but scary at the point of realisation.
Why is one’s mind set up this way?
Or is it just me? 
I can’t help but listen to music that I rip off someone else, and then when I think I make my own decision it’s still taken off some blogs and magazines – where other people opinions have been made public. Sucks.
At the same time – what’s the point of trying to be original if one will end up being compaired to someone else? For self-entertainment?
When I have fun I do try to be original for the sake of having for at the moment and place. But when I stop and think about the lack of originality – the depression creeps in.
Excuse the randomness.
P.S. That Marta Ketro books leaves a trace of unpleasant loneliness. Nevertheless it’s very good. Thanks Anja
Ended up at the gig below yesterday. Very randomly.
Easy Star All Stars – reggae stuff. Great stuff. No skinny jeans shenanigans = loadz of fun. Probably some smoke involved – but what the hell – this was the greatest gig I’ve been to – atmosphere wise.
And I was going for the below:
This was Kaplin in Twisted Pepper. High concentration of skinny jeans and ooze of musical snoberism. Probability that a person next to you plays in some band of a sort – 99.999999999%. Which in return (this is personal experience now) means that the gig will kick off one-and-a-half hour later than the doors will open. Whether it’s due to the fact that the above mentioned crowd takes this long to arrive and fill half of the designated floor area (standing as far from the stage as possible, as God-forbid you’d be the one standing right in front of it appreciating someone that everyone else might not consider “any good” at the given moment), or due to the band setting up for a given time – I don’t know. But while the setting up – arrival thing was happening I managed to get into the gig in the next door Academy for a bigger and more appreciated band…
Irish gig ethics really are unbelievable… Maybe it’s just me.
Don’t get this wrong – Kaplin was very good, but I got tired of going in-and-out two venues at the stage, so didn’t even get to see whoever was the headliner for the Twisted Pepper, as I’d imagine they got on stage around 11PM…
More gigs to come. There’s a great one tonight – so hopefully it will take them less time to set up. They really have to make up some fire-fighter standart technique for this
